There are five models of the F-350SD, several gas and diesel engines, and three cab sizes to choose from. The F-350SD’s power comes from its 6.8L gas V8 engine, which is combined with its 10-speed automatic transmission and heavy-duty suspension. It comes with a 4×2 drivetrain, and a 4×4 is available. It’s been voted best in class for gooseneck towing, rated at 40,000 pounds, conventional diesel towing at 30,000 pounds, and a payload capacity of 8,000 pounds. A Tow/Haul package is available. It is equipped with a trailer hitch receiver.
Ford designed optional packages for off-road driving for those who want to leave the concrete jungle behind. With a locking rear differential and skid plates for the transfer case and gas tank, you can climb over large rocks with confidence. There are selectable drive modes to enhance your acceleration, traction, and power.
Beneficial Features
Quad halogen headlights enhance the F-350 SD’s domineering look. The front has tow hooks, and an optional winch is available. In the back, it has an LED center-mounted stop lamp and a power-lock tailgate. Additional options include onboard scales, a tough bed spray liner, and a box cover. The 40/20/40 front bench seat can be upholstered with vinyl, cloth, or leather. In the crew cabs, there is a 60/40 fold-down bench seat.
Ford Co-Pilot360 technology is a group of driver assistance and safety systems that include roll stability, trailer sway assist, hill assist, and a rearview camera. Additional safety systems are available. For towing, systems such as Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Trailer Reverse, and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist are available, making having a spotter or leaving your truck a thing of the past.
Next-Level Technology
The SYNC 4 system gives you access to communication, information, and entertainment through the 8-inch touchscreen. With FordPass Connect, you can connect up to 10 devices simultaneously with a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. You can sync your phone to have hands-free access to phone calls and text messages. You can also receive vehicle information such as vehicle health, scheduled maintenance reminders, and vehicle status.
