Full-Electric or Hybrid? Find Your Ford
A fully electric Ford vehicle runs entirely on electricity, using a battery and electric motor instead of a gasoline engine. For drivers who want to skip the gas station and make charging part of their routine, an EV can be an exciting way to drive. Ford offers all-electric options like the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit, giving drivers choices ranging from an everyday SUV to a capable pickup or commercial van.
If you are not ready to go fully electric, a Ford hybrid can offer a different approach. Hybrid vehicles combine a gasoline engine with electric motor assistance, giving you the benefits of electrified technology while maintaining the convenience of a traditional fuel source. A hybrid can be a great fit for drivers who want to improve efficiency without having to plan every trip around charging.
Coming Soon: The Ford Fathom
Ford is also preparing to expand its electric truck lineup with the upcoming Ford Fathom. Expected for the 2027 model year, the Fathom is being developed as a midsize electric pickup for drivers who want the versatility of a truck in a more manageable size. Ford has announced that the Fathom is expected to seat five adults and offer flexible storage with both a truck bed and front trunk, along with features such as a large touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, digital key technology, and available BlueCruise hardware.
Some final Fathom specifications, including U.S. range, charging speed, towing capacity, and payload ratings, have not yet been announced. Ford expects preorders to begin in early 2027, with customer vehicles expected to follow later in the year. If the upcoming Ford Fathom sounds like the right kind of electric truck for you, check back with Mission Valley Ford as more information becomes available.
