Active
The base model is equipped with a 400-hp engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The 4WD version comes with a heavy-duty towing package. With the right gear, this SUV can tow up to 9,600 pounds. You’ll have seating for eight with versatile features like the Flex Powered Console and a sliding and reclining second-row bench.
The Expedition Active comes with power-adjustable front seats and standard driver assistance tech such as a surround-view camera and front parking sensors. The dash combines a 24-inch panoramic display with a 12.3-inch center stack touchscreen, with support for Google Maps, Google Assistant, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Advanced driver assistance tech includes adaptive cruise control, lane centering assist, forward collision warning, and more.
Tremor
The trail-ready Tremor adds a rock crawl mode, off-road suspension with a 1-inch lift, front tow hooks, underbody skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential. The cabin features heated and ventilated front seats with Tremor-logo perforated leather upholstery, heated second-row captain’s chairs, and a reclining third row. The Tremor and King Ranch trims incorporate a high-output V6 that gets 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.
King Ranch
The Expedition King Ranch sports a Southwest-inspired design with Del Rio leather upholstery and Kingsville stitching. The exterior features 22-inch wheels finished in Sinister Bronze. Added performance equipment includes adaptive suspension dampers. This model also comes with BlueCruise, which supports semi-autonomous hands-free driving on compatible North American roadways.
Platinum
The Platinum trim provides the comfort of massaging front seats. You’ll have extra charging ports in the second and third rows as well as a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo system. This model also features power-adjustable pedals, 360-degree zone lighting, a walk-through second row for a long center aisle, and ambient lighting in multiple colors.
The Platinum shares the same powertrain as the Active model. The exterior shows off power-deployable running boards in Black Onyx, which make it easy to get in and out of this full-size vehicle.
