2023 Ford F-350
The 2023 Ford Super Duty F-350 is back for another model year, looking to stay atop the heavy-duty work truck class with a robust diesel engine that cranks out the torque. You also get plenty of towing and payload capacity to haul whatever you need with the F-350. Here's what drivers everywhere can't stop raving about on the Ford Super Duty F-350.
Trim Levels
You can get the Ford F-350 in six trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The XL offers standard features like quad dual-beam halogen headlights. Opting for the XLT gives you a power moonroof for the crew cab variation. The Lariat has halogen fog lamps and PowerScope trailer tow mirrors.
Moving up to the Platinum will give you power deployable running boards. The Limited includes a live-drive power takeoff option. If you want to go off-roading in your work truck, you certainly can with the off-road-ready Tremor package. The Tremor package gets you a lift kit and off-road tires, among other off-road features.
Engine
The 2023 Ford Super Duty F-350 has three available engine options. A very capable 6.2-liter V-8 gasoline engine is the base engine, and it produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is a 7.3-liter V-8 gas engine with 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The powerhouse of the engine lineup is the Power Stroke 6.7-liter V-8 diesel engine that grinds out 475 horsepower and a whopping 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
The standard transmission for all engines is the newly updated 10-speed automatic transmission, with a six-speed automatic transmission also available. The standard drivetrain is a rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is available.
Performance
Two essential attributes for a work truck are maximum payload and maximum towing capacity. The Ford F-350 has a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of 21,000 pounds with the gasoline engine and 24,200 pounds with the diesel engine on a standard hitch. Towing with a fifth-wheel hitch increases that to 32,500 pounds, while a gooseneck hitch pushes it up further to 37,000 pounds.
An impressive maximum payload capacity of 7,850 pounds allows you to haul what you need. A TorqShift transmission is standard on all trims and adds five drive modes that let you adjust your driving configuration to fit current conditions or your preference.
Interior
Starting at the XL, you find an infotainment system with a 4-inch display. Moving to the XLT trim upgrades to an 8-inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration as well as a Wi-Fi hot spot. For the Lariat trim and above, you get a 12-inch touch screen in landscape orientation, heated and cooled front seats with massage, wireless charging pads, leather-trimmed upholstery, and ambient lighting. To keep you rocking, an optional premium Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker sound system is also available.
Safety Features
Many driver-assistance and safety features are available for the Ford Super Duty F-350. These features are automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring that works while pulling a trailer, and a multi-view camera system. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beam headlights are available. In the event of a collision, the strong frame and advanced air bag system will deploy to keep you and your passengers protected.
