3. Castle Rock State Park

Featuring impressive rock formations, lush forests, and breathtaking vistas of the surrounding areas, Castle Rock State Park is an expansive nature reserve that can be reached in less than 40 minutes by car from the San Jose city center. This nature reserve boasts over 30 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails.
